The Project
Books Up North needed a website to launch their new literary events and projects business. They had a clear vision for the site’s design and structure, which provided a strong foundation for the design process.
I began by creating a sitemap to define the site’s structure, followed by wireframes for key page layouts. From there, I developed a range of design options, refining them in collaboration with the client.
Once the final design was chosen, I moved into development. As with all my projects, I built a custom WordPress theme to ensure the site met their business goals without compromise. This included a custom page builder, an integrated blog, WooCommerce support, and custom post types for managing book reviews—giving them full control over their content and future growth.
